Ryan Robertson is the Assignments Manager for the 10/11 NOW news team.
Ryan was previously the News Director and Senior Radio Correspondent for KVNO News in Omaha, Nebraska.
Ryan has worked in a number of different newsrooms in Nebraska and Texas, but his first broadcasting job was at 10/11. He was a production assistant while attending college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
After graduating from UNL in 2008, Ryan moved to Kearney with his wife, Ashley. He started at NTV News as a weekend photographer and was promoted to reporter soon afterward. By the time he left the station, Ryan was a weekend anchor but had also anchored the morning and evening newscasts, and occasionally filled in as a sports anchor.
Ryan then moved to Wichita Falls, TX in 2010, where he worked for KFDX 3 News as a weekend anchor and producer.
Ryan returned to Nebraska in 2012. He worked for NET, Nebraska's PBS and NPR affiliate, as a multi-media producer and reporter. Ryan worked on several documentaries while at NET but was primarily a long-format radio reporter. After NET, Ryan went to KVNO in Omaha before finally accepting the Assignments Manager position at 10/11, returning to the place his career first began.
When not at work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children (daughter Reagan and son Chael). He also enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and camping, and can usually be found in front of a TV on Sunday, cheering on his Denver Broncos.
Ryan said he's always open to tell new stories, so if you have any ideas, send him an email!
