HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Police are investigating a string of broken car windows which were reported during the last three days.

Police said 11 separate cases of broken car windows and one report of a broken patio window were apparently caused when someone shot them with a BB gun.

They have cited a 14-year-old boy for criminal mischief but police say the case is still active and they are checking to see if others are involved.

The total estimated cost of the damage is $2,500.

Police are also investigating a separate case in which 14 windows were broken out of a rental house in the 700 block of south St. Joseph.
