74 pounds of pot confiscated during search

LANCASTER COUNTY — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old man when 70 pounds of marijuana was located during a search warrant.

Sheriff’s Deputies received and served the warrant at 8610 Lexington Avenue on Wednesday, and arrested Samuel Starkey, 28.

During the search of the residence, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 3.2 ounces of hash oil, and cash were located.

Deputies also searched a nearby garage, and found multiple totes, luggage, and a car with documents in it containing Starkey’s name. The containers and vehicle all contained marijuana.

In total, 74 pounds of marijuana, a safe containing a revolver, baggies, and a money counter were confiscated from the garage.

Stakey was lodged for possession of a firearm during a felony, possession of concentrated cannabis, and possession of a controlled substance, among others.

Starkey was on probation for a previous drug offense.
