NORFOLK, Neb.- More than 400 women turned out for this year's Ag-Ceptional Women's Conference that was recently held at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. This is the 9th annual conference, and it continues to grow each year.
About 9 years ago, the idea was developed to plan a conference as a support system for women in agriculture. In the Fall of 2009, the first conference was help. Personal enrichment or improving a family operation are two of the big issues that woman are interested in discussing during the conference.
"One thing we realized early on is these women influence the decisions or they make the decisions (on the farm)", Northeast Community College Dean of Agriculture Corinne Morris said. "So we try to provide a good variety of information that is needed to make good decisions."
Be sure to check the Northeast Community College website for more information about next year's Ag-Ceptional Women's Conference.
