April traffic fatality statistics

LINCOLN, Neb. During April, ten people were killed in traffic accidents on Nebraska road ways.

The fatalities occurred in ten different crashes. Four of the six victims were not wearing seat belts. Seven of the crashes happened on local roads, two on highways, and one on the interstate.

Two of the fatalities were motorcyclists, one a pedestrian, and one a bicyclist.

Four of the victims were 24-years-old or younger.

In April of 2016 there were 18 traffic fatalities in Nebraska.
