Attempted burglary at Lincoln smoke shop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln police are investigating an attempted burglary at a tobacco shop.

Police said a 22-year-old woman reported hearing glass breaking when she was driving by G & G Smokeshop Wednesday night, shortly after 11:30 p.m.

LPD said the woman told police she saw a man with a bandanna covering his face enter the shop through a broken glass door. He fled south on 27th Street soon after.

As he fled, police said he took off his hoodie and bandanna.

The witness described him as a 20-year-old man with a light complexion, possibly Hispanic, about 5’9” with a stocky build.

The investigation is ongoing.
