LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln will welcome a new pizza joint this week, as Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza is slated to open its doors to the public on Thursday, Feb. 15.

According to a press release, the “recognized world leader in fast artisanal pizza” will open a 2,900 square foot located at 1317 Q Street, on the corner of 13th and P streets.

In addition, the release states anyone who visits the new location on Friday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and follows Blaze on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook will receive a free pizza.

“Our mission at Blaze is really simple – we’re taking pizza back to its roots,” said Jim Mizes, president & CEO of Blaze Pizza in the release.  “By making dough in-house, using carefully sourced ingredients, and cooking by fire, we’re giving guests a great way to enjoy artisanal pizza without the wait.  It’s changing the way people think about and eat pizza.”

Blaze launched in 2012, and gained name recognition due to the investment of NBA super star Lebron James.

According to the release, “each restaurant features an interactive open kitchen format that allows guests to customize one of the menu’s generously sized personal signature pizzas or create your own, all for around $8.”

Blaze currently has 245 restaurants in 35 states.
