OMAHA, Neb.- Boys Town is observing 100 years of history on December 12th, 2017.
One of the places that you can experience all of that Boys Town history is at the Hall of History on the campus in Omaha at around 144th and Dodge. Thomas Lynch of Boys Town says there are a number of must-see items in the Hall of History, that was originally built as the dining hall for Boys Town by founder Father Flanagan in 1939.
Lynch says among the must-see items are a red wagon that Father Flanagan used to showcase some of the musicians from Boys Town. There is also the Oscar that Spencer Tracy won for his portrayal of Father Flanagan in the Hollywood movie "Boys Town". And you can also see the Boys Town bus that Father Flanagan used to take many of the sports teams from the campus to schools around the state and around the country.
