LINCOLN, Neb. - A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 that was bought in Omaha last January expires next Monday.
The ticket for the January 27th drawing sold at the Dinah Mart near South 13th and Vinton streets matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (3, 12, 40, 52, 67) and the Powerball number (21).
Winning Nebraska Lottery Lotto tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any prizes from the January 27th drawing before the end of the business day on July 25th.
Prizes of $20,000 or more must be claimed at Nebraska Lottery Headquarters in Lincoln. Visit nelottery.com for more information on claiming prizes.
Meanwhile, a West Des Moines, Iowa man has claimed the $1 million Mega Millions prize he won in May. The Iowa Lottery said Monday that 65-year-old Rick Breuss Jr. told officials he delayed turning in his prize ticket because his brother passed away in June.
