The Child Guidance Center in Lincoln has received a $25,000 makeover after receiving the most votes during a contest through All Makes.

All Makes announced that the four winners of the contest, located in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney and Des Moines, each won $25,000 for a makeover of their facilities.

The contest began with a call for nominations from the public, which nominated 77 different nonprofit organizations in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney and Des Moines, Iowa.

Then, a panel of judges selected five nonprofits from each location as finalists. The criteria were based on applications of ethical business practices to execute the nonprofit organization’s mission, influence on the community, demonstration of excellence in leadership, and need for a more efficient workspace.

From there, the public voted for their favorite organization with encouragement from the nonprofit via allmakes.com and the iHeart Media contest pages.

According to a press release by All Makes, because nonprofit organizations dedicate most of their budgets to fulfilling their missions, they don’t spend money on themselves. But, an eye-catching, functional office space can be a tool for attracting funds and talent.

The Child Guidance Center is located at 2444 O Street in Lincoln.
