LINCOLN, Neb. -- Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is acquiring an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic in Lincoln.
The office currently practices as Handprints and Footsteps Pediatric Therapy Clinic, located at 5930 Vandervoort Drive.
Starting July 1, the Handprints and Footsteps team will join Children’s, allowing for continued access to therapy for area children.
“The clinic will support our specialists and our patient families in the Lincoln area, meaning a stronger, more seamless continuum of care and fewer drives to Omaha for needed therapy services,” says Richard G. Azizkhan, M.D., Children’s president & CEO. “This is about making pediatric services accessible and convenient for the families we serve.”
The clinic will continue to offer pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
Children’s will assume ownership and start seeing patients in mid-July.
“Children’s shares our philosophy and commitment to caring for children,” says Diane Boney, one of the current owners of Handprints and Footsteps. “As two of our owners retire, the timing is right to make this transition, and I’m confident it will be a smooth and positive one for our patients, families, and staff.”
