Crime Stoppers: Police looking for suspect who exposed himself at store

LINCOLN, Neb. — At roughly 4 p.m. on March 21, police were called to the Big Lots store on 66th and O St. A woman said she was shopping in the store when she saw something shocking.

"A female customer was walking around the store and she sees this gentleman walking behind her and he exposes his genitals through his jeans," said Lincoln Police Officer Matt Stegman.

Stegman says the woman continued to walk around the store and he followed her.

"His shirt is covering it, and then as he gets near the isle again his genitals are exposed again," said Stegman.

They say the man was in the store alone, and he is described as white, in his 30's with a black shirt and jeans. The woman called 911 and the suspect left.

"She was alarmed by it, it disturbed her, and it's a pretty serious case because she doesn't know what his intent was," said Stegman.

Stegman says when the weather gets warmer they do see more of these cases, and he says if this happens to you, make sure to contact law enforcement or a store employee.

"In this case I would get an employee and tell them that they can follow a person out and see what car they get into, they can confront the person and see where the case goes from there, or they can
have that person stick around until the police arrive," said Stegman.

Police say they are unsure what vehicle the suspect was driving, if you have any information call Crime Stoppers.
