LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police said a dog reported missing from a Lincoln apartment complex has been returned safely.

The dog went missing sometime between 10:20 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. at 5512 Shady Creek Court.

The man said he took his 10-month-old Yorkshire Terrier outside to go to the bathroom, and became cold since he did not have a shirt on.

The man tied his dog to a nearby pole and was gone for less than five minutes while he ran inside.

When he returned, the dog was missing.

Police said Tuesday morning the dog has been returned to the owner.
