LINCOLN, Neb. (Press Release) The Lancaster County Election Commissioner will conduct voter registration at seven sites from Saturday, April 8th through Wednesday, April 12th.
Any Nebraska resident who will be 18 on or before November 7, 2017, has moved, changed his or her name, or would like to change their political party affiliation, may register to vote at the following times and locations:
April 8th – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hy-Vee (40th Street and Old Cheney Road)
April 8th – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hy-Vee (70th Street and Pioneers Boulevard)
April 8th – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hy-Vee, 5020 North 27th Street
April 8th – 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 50th and O Streets
April 8th – 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 84th and Holdrege Streets
April 10th – 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Bethany Branch Public Library, 1810 North Cotner Boulevard
April 12th – 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Bennett Martin Library, 136 South 14th Street
Individuals may also register to vote through the mail. Mail-in registration forms are available at most post offices, banks, and libraries. A voter registration form is also available on the Election Commissioner’s web site. Mail-in voter registration applications must be post marked no later than Friday, April 14, 2017, in order to be effective for the May 2nd Lincoln City General Election.
The deadline to register to vote online is also Friday, April 14th. Voters who have a Nebraska Driver’s License or a State Identification Card my register to vote online.
Citizens may also register to vote at the Election Commissioner’s Office, 601 North 46th Street, through Friday, April 21st. The office will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, April 20th and will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21st.
