GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Music fans now know another act that will be playing for the 2017 Nebraska State Fair.
Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY will perform Thursday, August 31, at 7:30 p.m.
Reserved seat tickets are on sale now for $6 plus gate at the Heartland Events Center Box office or at Etix.com. Nebraska State Fair Fan Club tickets are also available for $30 and include premium seating, Fan Club pin and credentials, no lines, no waiting and an official Fan Club tote.
Chelsey Jungck, the fair’s events and entertainment director said, “The Australian brother duo that formed for KING & COUNTRY use soaring melodies, driving rhythms, theatrical instrumentation and personal themes to help concert goers connect with their music. They write songs that are romantically and spiritually inclined, but also write songs about struggle. They’re songs about the human experience.”
Comprised of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, for KING & COUNTRY found success with the release of 2012’s Crave, winning Billboard’s New Artists to Watch For.
Their second album, Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong, debuted at #1 on iTunes and led to the duo winning two Grammy’s. They won ‘New Artist of the Year’ in 2013 as well as twice being named ‘Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year’ in 2015 and 2016 from the GMA Dove Awards.
The group’s hit singles include “Priceless”, “Shoulders”, and “Fix My Eyes”, among others.
Jungck said, “With over 600,000 records sold and having streamed their music over 150,000,000 times, we’re excited to welcome this talented Christian group to the Nebraska State Fair. It will be a great show.”
