GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) Grand Island police Tuesday were looking for a suspect in a shooting which happened late Saturday night.

Police said that Jessica Alvarez, 32, was shot in her apartment on Capital Avenue about 11:00 pm Saturday night. By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspects had already left. Police said the wound was not serious and Alvarez was treated and released from the hospital early Sunday morning.

The incident happened after an argument at the apartment. Police also said that the suspect used a handgun, but that there was also a long gun in the apartment at the time.

Police captain Jim Duering told NBC Nebraska that they are keying in on one suspect, but that no further information about the shooting would be released.
