GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) Grand Island police Thursday were looking for a man suspected of attempted murder.

Police said Alex Solis, 31, of Kearney, was wanted for felony attempted murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Police have connected Solis to a September second incident in which Jessica Alvarez was shot and wounded. The shooting happened at the Greenleaf apartments on Capital Avenue.

Solis is described as a Hispanic Male, 5’4” tall and 170 pounds. Recent contacts would indicate he may be more slender than pictured. He may be identifiable by a tattoo of praying hands on his neck.

Any information regarding the current whereabouts of Solis should be shared with the Grand Island Police Department. If sighted, use caution and contact 911.

Court records indicate that Solis had three prior felony convictions in Hall county, one for drug possession in 2007, and two convictions for third degree domestic assault, one in 2009 and another in 2015.
