Gun stolen from Big Shots in 2016 found by Lincoln Police

LINCOLN, Neb. - Lincoln Police found a gun stolen in December, 2016 after contacting a man who was driving under suspension.

Authorities said they contacted 25-year-old Britton Ayres after he was observed driving on under suspension on Feb. 2.

During the interaction, the officer smelled marijuana, located a marijuana pipe in the car door, and found a pistol in a backpack.

The serial number was ran, and it was discovered the gun was stolen from Big Shots on Dec. 30, 2016.

Ayers was arrested for driving under suspension and carrying a concealed weapon.
