Guns and ammo stolen out of vehicle in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police said two shotguns and ammo are out on the streets of Lincoln after being stolen out of a car.

The owner of the guns, a 56-year-old man, said they were stolen out of his locked 2005 Silver Lexus while he was out running errands on Monday, sometime between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The man made numerous stops in Lincoln, and also ran an errand in Ashland.

The stolen items are estimated at $4,000, and the man said he left his residence with the firearms in the back of the vehicle.
