Hastings police catch up to suspected burglars, thief

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) Hastings police believe they've solved a number of recent car thefts and at least one in-home burglary.

Tuesday HPD arrested Kimberly Buss, 29 and Shawn Sharp, 26, both of Hastings in connection with a burglary reported at a Hastings home September second. Buss was found with a stolen transaction device and sharp was found with stolen check and a laptop computer.

Buss was arrested for possession of a stolen transaction device and for possession of a controlled substance. Sharp was arrested for possession of stolen property.

Hastings police also arrested Jesse Gilmore, 28, in connection with a number of recent car thefts. HPD found Gilmore with a number of items which matched property stolen from unlocked vehicles on streets near the Imperial Mall. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking and with carrying a concealed weapon. Police say he had a large knife at the time of his arrest.
