GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - Hausmann Construction will have another large local project to add to their list of construction in the area.

The Gering School Board Monday night approved an agreement with Hausmann as Construction Manager At-Risk for the expansion and renovation of the Gering High School. Voters approved a $24 million bond for the project this past March.

GPS Superintendent Bob Hastings tells NBC Nebraska that Hausmann's experience and expertise in such projects made their proposal rise to the top of the selection list.

Hausmann has had a visible presence in the area over the past few years, currrently working on the new Elite Therapy building at Highway 71 and 42nd Street, as well as the renovation project at Scottsbluff High School. The latter project is in the final stage of construction, and SBPS officials anticipate completion some time next spring.
