LINCOLN, Neb. – Hundreds gathered on the University of Nebraska campus Wednesday afternoon as part of a “Hate Will Never Win” rally.

The rally was organized by ASUN Student Government and the Nebraska Men’s Basketball Team and took place in the Coliseum on campus.

A number of people spoke at the rally, including members of the Hoops team, about inclusion on campus and the goals the movement hopes to accomplish.

A member of the Nebraska football team also spoke, saying some members of the football squad plan to contribute to the movement in some capacity moving forward.

In addition, organizers promoted ‘Unity Wednesday’, where members of the student body will wear “Hate Will Never Win’ t-shirts once a week.

The shirts were first worn by the men’s basketball team on Saturday before its game against Rutgers.

The movement started after a video of a self-proclaimed white nationalist surfaced last week.
