When Hayley Stamper was a sophomore at Lincoln Pius X High School, she decided to take a clothing & textiles class. She ended up loving the class so much, she took it again...and then again. Turns out, young Hayley had officially found her calling, "I started making Nebraska shirts and I just took fabric from my mom's basement and I stuck it on a shirt and I sewed around it and I earned myself the ten points for the class."
A little sewing here and a state of Nebraska there and suddenly, all of her friends wanted a Hayley Stamper original. Then the teachers and the booster club wanted to get their hands on one. Next thing you know, she has her very own store in Gateway Mall.
Hayley's store is called h.flynn and it's been open since the first of November.
h.flynn customers even get the opportunity to create and customize their own design. Hayley says, "I felt a need that we need unique shirts since we're all unique and different."
After just two months, Hayley has already outgrown her current store at Gateway Mall, co coming up this Wednesday, she'll be hosting the grand opening of a new, larger space along the JCPenney wing of the mall.
