Bill Montz was just six years old when inherited a doodle bug mini bike that was bought at the Gambles store in Tecumseh.
It took no time before Bill just flat fell in love with motorcycles and horse power. And today, 70 years later, Bill says he still hasn't fully quenched his need for speed, "I've been in it for a long, long time and I love every bit of it."
And Bill's affection for motorcycles is evident as soon as he starts telling stories.
Fortunately for Bill, he found a woman that also loves motorcycles, "Carla and I have done a lot of the restoration in this museum. We both have the same passion for it and that makes our lives really good together."
Bill gave Carla a ride on his Harley 20 years ago and she says, "That just opened up a whole new world."
Bill and Carla opened the Montz Motorcycle Museum in downtown Tecumseh last August.
If you'd like to enjoy Bill and Carla's collection, they say the museum is open Friday & Saturday from 10am to 4pm or by appointment (402) 335-0328
