LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Kids! Newspaper celebrated 25 years of business with hundreds of families Sunday.

"We think Lincoln is a great place for families," said Karla Goerl, Owner of Lincoln Kids! Newspaper.

The party was a free family festival, open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon.

"This is way more successful than I thought it would be, it's crowded, I think it's a great success," said Goerl.

It was free for families, and activities and prizes were a big part of the birthday bash. The family had donations from places like LUX Center and Arts, Lincoln CIty Libraries and Foodie Kids.

"We have over 50 prizes to give away, they are all geared toward zero to 12-year-olds," said Goerl.

Every three months, 18,000 newspapers go out, and represent local kids art work, and that's the families' favorite part.

"They get to be on the front page, so when we call that kid and tell them, they are very excited." said Bennett Martin, Owner of Lincoln Kids! Newspaper.
