Woman robbed in daylight near Lincoln police station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A 25-year-old man is facing a robbery charge after police said he robbed a woman in the middle of the afternoon.

LPD said officers were called to the Walgreens near 48th and Huntington around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. This is across the street from a Lincoln police station.

According to police, Laderrius Rawls followed the victim out of the store and tried to rob her as she put her child in her car. The woman reported the suspect said he had a gun. They said she gave him money and Rawls got away.

Police caught up with Rawls at the Kwik Shop near 48th and Adams.
