LINCOLN, Neb. – A man was transported to the hospital after he walked into a recreation center in Lincoln with a skull fracture on Wednesday.
Lincoln Police said the 55-year-old man walked into the F Street rec center shortly after 4 p.m. on Dec. 27 with blood on his face, and told witnesses he had been hit in the head with a hammer.
He said he was hit after a confrontation with an acquaintance near 13th and B streets.
After he was struck he ran to the rec center for help, police said, and was transported to the hospital with a skull fracture.
Police are still investigating the incident.
