LINCOLN, Neb. - If you are traveling Wednesday, be sure to slow down and allow some extra time after the recent snowfall.

In Lincoln, fifty-four city and contractor crews are plowing the roads. They will be focusing on the emergency snow routes, arterial streets, bus routes, and school routes. Then they will treat roads with granular salt pre-wet with brine.

Once those areas are completed around 8 a.m. crews will continue treating roads as needed.

Crews report some streets are slick and snow packed in areas due to re-freezing. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution. Be alert for slick areas on streets and sidewalks.
