A house fire in Lancaster County is now under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's office.
Eagle Fire crews were called to the vacant home shortly after 9 p.m. Monday near 148th and O Street. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed.
Crews from Southeast Rural Fire Department also responded to put out the flames. At least 15 emergency trucks and vehicles were on scene. Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said because there's no hydrants, crews are having to bring in water to put out the flames.
LSO said to their knowledge the home was vacant, but because crews have not yet put out the fire, they haven't been able to search the home. The Eagle Fire chief was not able to tell 10/11 if anyone was inside the home or if anyone was hurt.
At times heavy smoke and ash from the home was blowing onto O Street. LSO has a portion of O Street blocked, as well as a portion of 148th Street closed.
Roads in that area have opened back up.
Again, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
