LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop C – Grand Island will conduct a special enforcement in conjunction with some of the biggest concert dates for the Nebraska State Fair.
The enforcement is an effort to reduce the potential for alcohol-related crashes around the fair and the surrounding area. The enforcement will run on August 25-26 and September 1-3.
“The Nebraska State Fair brings visitors from across the state,” said Captain Jeromy McCoy, Commander Troop C – Grand Island. “This enforcement will focus on two big concert weekends at the State Fair. We urge fair-goers to esignate a driver if you plan to drink, and never drive impaired or distracted.”
The effort is made possible thanks in part to a grant for $2,550 from Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO).
