PLATTE RIVER STATE PARK – The latest attraction to launch at the Platte River State Park is built around comfort and relaxation.

A new glamping park is now open for those looking for a comfortable getaway, with three cabins available for rent.

The glamping cabins are tucked back into a secluded area of the park, located in southeast Nebraska, and according to Nebraska Game and Parks, offer “a peaceful, private, and nature-immersive experience.”

"It's the first ever glamping structures that we've offered. A unique design with the idea of bringing the outdoors inside, and the inside outdoors in this tranquil where you can hear the birds today, you can hear the locusts in the trees it's a great setting," Parks Division Administrator Jim Swenson said.

The cabins at the glamping site offer s’more’s kits, robes and slippers, a queen bed, a modern bathroom, coffee machines, and a shower, among other amenities.

A two-night stay is required, and reservations can be made at OutdoorNebraska.gov, or by calling 402-234-2217. The rate for the glamping site is roughly $105 a night.
