OMAHA, Neb. - Alaska Airlines will begin daily nonstop service between Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) and San Diego International Airport (SAN) beginning Monday, August 28, 2017.

The schedule for the new service is as follows:

San Diego to Omaha
Depart: 8:50 AM Arrive: 2:25 PM

Omaha to San Diego
Depart: 3:05 PM Arrive: 5:05 PM

As of March 15, non stop round trip flights ranged from $308 to $360, depending on which day someone is flying.

Alaska will fly this new route with a three-class Embraer E-175 aircraft seating 76 passengers. Onboard amenities include Wi-Fi Internet access, and Alaska Beyond Entertainment, which
includes free and premium entertainment direct to customer devices and power outlets in the first class cabin.

San Diego will become the third nonstop destination Alaska Airlines will serve from Omaha since they began service at Eppley Airfield in 2013. Alaska currently provides daily nonstop service to Portland, OR (PDX), and Seattle, WA (SEA) from Omaha.

Nonstop service to Portland by Alaska Airlines began in February, 2016. “The Omaha Airport Authority is pleased to see Alaska Airlines’ continued growth in Omaha with their newest nonstop flight to San Diego, which was previously our largest market by travel demand without nonstop service” said Steve McCoy, manager of airline affairs for the Omaha Airport Authority.

“This announcement marks the second new destination by Alaska from Omaha in two years and speaks volumes about local travel demand supported by a solid local economy. The new flight will offer Omaha travelers opportunities not only to San Diego and Southern
California, but also throughout the Alaska Airlines’ West Coast network.”

Flights will be available for purchase beginning March 15, 2017 through Alaska Airlines’ website, www.alaskaair.com or by calling 1-800-ALASKAAIR.

Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) is a medium-hub airport that served more than 4.3 million passengers in 2016 and is the largest airport in the State of Nebraska. Seven airlines provide approximately 75 departures per day to 28 nonstop destinations from Eppley.
