One hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after overnight crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - One person was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition after an accident in southwest Lincoln.

Lincoln Police said the accident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday night.

First responders were sent to 17th and Van Dorn for a one-vehicle crash after a 65-year-old man crashed into a tree.

According to police, the man suffered a medical emergency prior to veering off the road and crashing into the tree.

The man's life-threatening injuries are due to the medical emergency, police said.
