Overnight crash results in arrest of 22-year-old

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Two people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and one person was arrested after a car accident early Wednesday morning.

According to Lincoln Police, a car and truck crashed near the intersection of 21st and J Streets around 1:30 AM.

Police say the driver of the car, 22-year-old Dylan Phelps, had a warrant for his arrest from Saline County, and officers found a small amount of marijuana (0.2 grams), a pipe, and a grinder inside the vehicle.

Phelps was taken to jail. The passenger in his car and the driver of the truck were both taken to the hospital.

Phelps was also issued citations for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
