If you own a portable generator, you may want to check if it is under recall.
About 4,500 generators are being recalled due to a fire hazard. The recall involves Westinghouse iGen2500 and iPro2500 portable inverter generators used to power appliances, cell phones or other electronic devices.
MWE Investments has received four reports of the recalled generators overheating and catching on fire.
They were sold online via Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot and other online retailers from June through October.
Consumers should stop using the generators and contact MWE Investments to arrange for a free repair.
MWE Investments can be reached toll-free at 855-944-3571 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or online at the Westinghouse website and click on "Product Safety" located at the top of the page.
