LINCOLN, Neb. -- Friday afternoon the Lincoln Lutheran girls volleyball team played in Lincoln at Pinnacle Bank Arena -- playing in a Class C-1 state semifinal match.

A few hours later, the football team played in their state semifinal game in Utica.

The Kreizel family had twice the excitement with a daughter playing volleyball and a son vying for a chance to play in the football state championship.

Cliff and Julie Kreizel said they are blessed and were excited for the fun ride.

After watching Lexie play volleyball, they traveled to Utica to watch their son, Logan. Lexie was able to join the cheering section, too.

"I'm so proud of him...I mean I wouldn't want anything more for him. He's come such a long ways...and from having no wins earlier on in his career, and here at state...it's once in a lifetime. I never would have guessed it," Lexie said.

She said she's thankful for her parents supporting both of their state experiences this year.
