GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Fair isn't just main stage concerts. There's also performances taking place all over the fairgrounds, and Monday, NBC Nebraska's Spencer Schubert checked into some of the acts being showcased.

A group out of Chicago named River Road Trio took the stage this evening to entertain fairgoers, and they say they couldn't wait to make the trip from the Windy City to Grand Island.

"Well, it's been a great trip so far," said lead singer Jonelle Carter. "First of all, Nebraska is wonderful. Everyone has been so accommodating and very friendly here. We're just, we're ready to get out. We have our album that we're promoting, and we wanted to start here to start spreading the music."
