Traffic Alert: Storms cause issues for roads and power outages in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Lincoln Police are warning drivers to find an alternate route if you use 48th Street and Cornhusker Highway.

The area is impassable because of water build up.

Police are unsure of how long the road will be impassable but they encourage morning commuters to find a different route.

According to Lincoln Electric System (LES) outage map, all reported outages have been fixed as of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Earlier in the morning, around 324 customers were without power in the area of 48th and Cornhusker Highway. Power had been out in the area since around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

About 165 customers were without power in the area of 48th and Holdrege. Those people were without power since 3:21 a.m. Wednesday.

And about 38 customers were without power in the area of 70th and Lexington since 2:04 a.m. Wednesday.
