SUV hits utility pole early Tuesday in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police are investigating what caused a crash in Lincoln early Tuesday morning.

Police said it happened at 57th and Adams shortly before 3 a.m.

According to police, the SUV smacked into a utility pole, breaking it in half and bringing wires down on the vehicle.

The driver told police she was distracted by a new Apple Watch she got as a Christmas present when she drove off the road.

Police are looking into whether alcohol was a factor.
