LINCOLN, Neb. Summer is the perfect season to make memories with your kids by taking them to places they don't typically get to see.
Luckily, you don't have to go far to give them an action-packed experience as there's plenty to show them right outside of Lincoln.
The 2016 Nebraksa Passport, developed by the Nebraska Tourism Commission, has a list of places they recommend you visit.
While the list includes dozens of places across the state, this summer, we're highlighting some of them on First News Nebraska.
10-11's Natalie Micale went to the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum in Ashland to see what they offer for Lincoln families this summer. The museum is on the 2016 Nebraska Passport, included in their category "Earth and Sky."
With two new flight simulators and a new exhibit that displays 100 artifacts, the museum can make history come alive for your child and teach them about aviation history.
