BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) -- On October 23, 2017, Bellevue Police and the public was made aware of an assault which occurred in Freeman Park in Bellevue. Bellevue Officers immediately began investigating the incident based on the receipt of a video recording of the actual assault incident.

The suspects involved are between the ages of 16 and 18 and reside in the Bellevue area. Due to the suspects being juveniles, they have been issued citations for 3rd Degree Assault and one was also issued a citation for Robbery.

All three juveniles were released to their parent/guardian.

The video starts with vicious punches thrown at the unsuspecting teen. Multiple people start to get blows in before one person runs and jumps on the teen's face.

"Yeah it was pretty brutal," explained Kalani Zalopany, the victim of the assault. "At first I didn't even know that he jumped on my face until I saw the video.”

Zalopany says he started to lose consciousness. "My brain was going in shock. It was crazy. I was about to pass out. I didn't really know what was going on." He tells our sister station WOWT 6 News that he believes the attack was retaliation for rude comments he'd just made to a girl. "It hurt a lot. I'll be completely honest."

The video was posted Monday and has been seen by tens of thousands.

Bellevue Police are still looking for the fourth suspect. He is also a juvenile and will be issued a citation for his involvement in the incident.
