The Ice Box is living up to its name

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The HVAC system inside the Ice Box worked for 21 years. Now, fans are trying to stay warm with hot chocolate and body heat after it broke January 6th. A new system will arrive in 10 to 12 days.

John Glasscock said, "It was like playing ice hockey outside...inside a building last week in here. It was cold."

There are 18 more games on deck, and the next time Lincoln takes on Omaha, the Ice Box should be warming up, Jessica Framke said.

"We are battling the cold right now, but we are an ice hockey rink, so we're used to it," Jessica Framke, Senior Director of Promotions and Marketing, said.

Carrie Remmers said, "The staff has been wonderful. They gave us the free coffee and hot chocolate and beer I mean, who can argue against that?"
