Thieves hit two local Lincoln businesses

LINCOLN, Neb. — Two local businesses were burglarized Tuesday morning, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses.

The incident took place around 9 a.m. at Paul Daniels Interior, located at 4333 S 70th Street, when the thieves gained access to the business by prying an exterior door open, police said.

Owners at Paul Daniels said some petty cash was taken, and it appeared they weren't the primary target of the break in.

Cash was taken from both stores, and a number of cameras and lenses were stolen from Rockbrook Camera, according to authorities.

Total losses at Rockbrook are estimated at $42,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
