Woman arrested following 2-vehicle crash

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Charges may be pending against a Hastings woman following a two-vehicle crash Monday.

Police arrested Bobbi Downing, 31, for Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under the Influence with a person under the age of 16 as a passenger, drug paraphernalia, driving under revocation, no insurance, fictitious plates and no valid registration.

The accident happened Monday night in the 700 block of east 4th, just south of Hastings College.

HPD said a SUV was was turning onto 4th from Elm when it was hit by a white sedan driven by Downing. Police say Downing's vehicle ran a stop sign on East 4th.
Two children were in Downing's car. The SUV rolled over in the crash, and Downing's vehicle ended up in the front yard of a nearby home.

All four occupants in both vehicles were taken to the hospital.

Hastings Police said the injuries are now considered minor to mild, but there was concern of head and neck injuries.

Police booked Downing into the Adams County Jail, but she has since bonded out.
