U.S. Marshals capture triple homicide suspect in Tennessee

An Omaha man wanted in connection to a triple homicide has been captured in Tennessee.

The U.S. Marshals Service took John Dalton Jr. into custody Wednesday afternoon near Jackson, Tennessee. A felony warrant for First Degree Murder was issued for John Dalton Jr. Wednesday.

Three people were found dead Tuesday night in a north Omaha home. Omaha Police have identified the victims as John W. Dalton, 70, Jean Dalton, 65, and Leonna Dalton-Phillip,18. Dalton Jr. was initially identified as a person of interest in the case.

John W. Dalton is identified as his father, Jean Dalton is identified as his mother and Leonna Dalton-Phillip was his niece.

Officers were called to a home in the 3900 block of N. 37th Street shortly before 8 p.m. to investigate a shooting Tuesday. They found three victims dead at the scene.

Leonna Dalton-Phillip was a student at Omaha Burke High School.
