Victim shows off gun, suspect grabs it and runs

LINCOLN, Neb. - Lincoln Police are searching for a stolen gun after a man claims an acquaintance took it from him and ran on Monday night.

Around 10 p.m., LPD said a 24-year-old Lincoln man met an acquaintance at NW 57th and West Partridge to go to a party.

Both men got into the victim's car, and the 24-year-old reportedly pulled out his gun to show it to the other man.

The suspect asked to hold the gun and proceeded to run from the vehicle with the firearm.

Police are asking anyone with information on the missing gun to contact authorities.
