"What We Carried: Lincoln," Mar. 8, 2018

Over the years, the Yazidi community in Lincoln has grown to about 3,000 people, making it the largest population of Yazidis in the United States.

The struggles of the Yazidis are illustrated in a new exhibit that's currently on display at the Nebraska History Museum in downtown Lincoln.

The Yazidis are a Kurdish religious minority that's largely from northern Iraq and "What We Carried: Lincoln" is a collaborative photographic storytelling project that went on display in late January.

The exhibit will be on display at the Nebraska History Museum in downtown Lincoln until late May.
