Witnesses report loud explosion prior to fire in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews responded to a confirmed fire at 2607 N. 2nd Street on Tuesday night.

The call came in just after 9:40pm. Witnesses told LFR there was a loud explosion and then the mobile home caught on fire.

10/11's Max Massey talked to neighbors who called 911. They said a man lives in the home with his dog, but does not appear to be home. LFR said crews have checked the home and there are no reports of anyone inside or any injuries.

A City of Lincoln fire inspector arrived on scene around 10:30pm and is working to determine a cause.
