OMAHA, Neb. - 67-year-old Laura Hogan died from injuries sustained in an accident near I-480 and Martha Saturday morning.

Uriah Yates, 26, of Omaha suffered bumps and bruises but refused treatment. Charges against him are pending.

Investigators say Yates had been driving a Chevy 3500 pickup with a dump truck box that had broken down in a northbound lane of 480. Hogan was driving a Chrysler 200 sedan and tried to avoid the disabled truck but hit the vehicle's rear passenger side bumper.

Hogan sustained head injuries in the accident that eventually lead to her death.

The crash happened on 480 near the Martha exit around 8:30 a.m.

The Nebraska State Patrol and State Department of Roads assisted with a full shutdown of northbound I-480 from Interstate 80 to Martha.
