LINCOLN, Neb. - An arrest was made after a 51-year-old woman found three people in her apartment and a 'human-sized hole' in the drywall, Lincoln Police said.
The incident took place on March 12 around 9 a.m., when the victim was asleep in her apartment in the 1000 Block of E Street.
The 51-year-old woman heard a scratching sound, police said, but she ignored it, thinking it was her cat.
A short time later she heard people inside her apartment and saw three suspects standing in her bedroom doorway.
When she stood up, she scared the suspects off and they ran out the back door.
After searching her home, the woman found a human-sized hole in the drywall leading from the community laundry room into her apartment.
After arriving on the scene, police contacted Holly Rumery, 35, who was found hiding in a stairwell in the apartment complex.
She was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass. The reason the suspects were in the apartment is still unknown.
